 Entry Deadline: September 15th 2013!

The Project of the Year (POY) competition started in the SWO chapter in 2011. The purpose of the competition is to highlight and reward great projects by PMI members and non-members alike. POY has been regarded as prestigious and coveted award amongst PMI chapters worldwide. The SWO chapter is committed to recognizing outstanding projects with the Project of the Year initiative.

Entrants do not have to be members of PMI, and entries do not have to conform to the format of the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide) – although a PMBOK-based format is provided for guidance in preparing the entry documentation.

Eligible Projects can be in fields such as education, business, health care, communications, economic development, social service, technology, construction, public works, marketing, or any other, in which innovation is introduced.

Expert judges will match POY entries against standards based on PMI’s Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide) and adapted by PMI SWOC. The judging panel will add its own outlook to assure that the very best Project performance receives the highest honors.

The Project of the Year 2013 competition gives your organization the opportunity to earn public acclaim for doing things right in a Project.

Showcase new and innovative ideas or strategies.

Recipient will be presented with a personalized award commemorating Project of the year achievement.
